When Macai Projects needed a solution for a high-profile renovation at one of London’s premier addresses, we were ready to take on the challenge.
The project required a 2-tonne excavator fitted with a Diesel Particulator, capable of delivering 99.9%+ efficiency in reducing emissions, essential for a basement excavation within a Grade II listed building.
The Challenge
Access was extremely restricted, with an opening of just 190cm x 190cm. A standard approach simply wouldn’t work.
Our Solution
We supplied an E19 excavator, but to make it fit our expert team took a more innovative approach:
✅ Carefully dismantled the machine, removing the boom, arm, and dozer blade
✅ Delivered all components directly to site
✅ Coordinated safe lowering into the basement using chain block tackle and slings
✅ Reassembled the excavator on-site to keep the project on track
